    Corvette Transporter

We need to transport a 67 from Stuart, Florida ( which is just north of Palm Beach ) to Vergennes, Vermont ( which is just south of Burlington ). We then need to bring back a 65 to Stuart. Were looking for enclosed transportation and any suggestions for reliable companys. Thank you. Skip

Intercity Lines out of Warren, MA

They picked up a car from me a couple of weeks ago here in Tequesta, Florida. Left on a Thursday and delivered the car to PA the following Tuesday with no problems. Cost was $900. They had been going all over the US delivering cars from the Barrett-Jackson auction. Go to intercitylines.com for more information. Good luck, Jim

Intercity, Passport, Horseless Carriage are all reliable carriers. I am sure there are others, but these are the ones that I am familiar with.

Jim Thanks for the response. This is the type of information I'm looking for. I'm also looking to see if any NCRS member may be transporting a vette on the east coast and maybe coming back empty. We have access to an enclosed trailer and am considering hauling the cars myself. But we have time restrictions to deal with so were considering all options. Skip

Passport Transport for our '62. Wasn't cheap, ~$1300 from Helena, MT to Orange County, CA, but they were the only ones willing to go to Helena in January (it was 15 below when they picked it up!) The car was immaculate when it got here, I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

            I used passport too

They treated my 4 cars like they were their own. Very nice, helpful, prompt. Cars arrived in perfect condition. Two were not running at the time and were still treated like royalty. Couldn't ask for more.

Intercity hauled my Gulf Oil racer (62) a number of times to shows all over the country--I've probably used them an additional 8 or 9 times--never an issue. I don't hesitate to recommend them!

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE A TRANSPORTATION "BROKER"; deal directly with one of the known professional enclosed carriers, and you'll get good service.

                      Thank you

I've read your messages and appreciate all your information. I have requested quotes from the major transporters and have gone to AAA for maps in the event I trailer the cars myself. Actually, we were originally scheduled to leave Florida today and trailer the 67 up to Vermont and return with the 65. But we saw the weather forecasts and deceided against it. Pulling a trailer in the snow is not my idea of fun. So we are either going to use a transporter or try again maybe in April, if the weather is ok, and we can get the trailer again. Thanks again - Skip

I have shipped a couple of cars with Dependable Auto Shippers out of Fortworth Texas. One to Switzerland and no complaints. Good Luck Bill
