1967 Big Block non AC Radiator Fan

    Hi,

    I have a 1967 427, non A/C Corvette that I am
restoring and recently picked up a radiator cooling
fan for it. It is 17 1/2 inch fan in size with 5
blades and as I understand it was used on the
following appilications either a non AC big block or
small block (ie: L79). It has the flat rivets, a "W"
stamping on the runner, the "H" "FRONT" on the other
side of the hub and also 2 numbers stamped on the hub
as well (66). Also, one of the fan blades also has 12
stamped into it. My questions is this; what is the
significance of the 66 stamped into the hub of the fan
and the 12 stamped on one of the blades. Any help with
    this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Dan

Dan, I think that if you will search the archives there is more info that you every wanted to know about these fans.

Unfortunately, I think the archives will contain some conflicting information.
I've been researching this recently (see archives), and to the best of my knowlege all '67 427 engines used the same fan (A/C or not).
The 327 engines had different fans or A/C, non A/C, which was different yet from the 427.
      They are all 5 blades.
There was a good picture/description on e-bay here:

(this morning the picture seems to be missing)
The auction is closed, but it was one I was watching.
      GM part numbers:
      3789562 327 w C60
      3770529 327 w/o C60
      3888366 427
The part numbers are not on the fan anywhere.
There was a 7 blade fan used on earlier mid-years with A/C
      p/n 3853943
If any of the above information is incorrect, I would like to know.

        Re: ADDITIONAL INFO

        DAVID - THE 7 BLADE FAN APPLICATION IS FOR '64 AND '65 W/ C60 A/C.

THE 66 ON THE 427 FAN BLADE ASSEMBLY IS THOUGHT TO BE THE LAST 2 NUMBERS OF THE PART NUMBER.

DAN - THE 17-1/2' DIA. FAN BLADE ASSEMBLY APPLICATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE THE sb L79 ENGINE. IT WOULD WORK OF COURSE BUT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE IT WAS NOT A FACTORY INSTALLATION ON THE L79. PETE
