    C2:67 Main Body Stew

Started my 3810 restoration project this weekend, and thought I'd send one of the the more interesting pictures of my home brew. The degreasing of the main body:

And here's the main body in the pot. Yummy, it looks like the broth left over from steamed clams.

Please no comments about the taste!

Next weekend, I'm into the plating. I'll keep you posted.

    Just having fun,

Caswell SP degreaser 8 oz(wgt)per gallon heated to about 200 degrees. Looks like, acts like TSP, but probably has some other nasty alkaline ingredients.
I hear that heated Simple Green also works and may try that next time.

Gerald, looks familiar except I put the bell housing in the dish washer (of course, my wife was working) and felt guilty the next time I loaded the dishwasher with dishes. Now why do you think they taste so funny, she asked at the next meal?

            That's funny Gary

I'd never get away with that! But when I was having trouble with my temperature gage, I borrowed a meat thermometer and taped it to the radiator hose to check the calibration. Cleaned it up real good and she didn't know the difference. Let's hope our wives don't visit this forum!

Incidently, I got the Crock pot at the local dump recycling store for $2. Now it's dedicated to parts cleaning.

Maybe there's a few other stories out there along these lines.

Something that made me chuckle was, while at a local church rummage sale, I was standing next to an elderly gentleman who asked the lady behind the table what that was, pointing at a crock pot. The lady told him and described it as a slow cooker.

Without cracking a smile, the man turned on his heels and walked away muttering, "Hell, I married one."
