it done get no bettr --55 vette and oldtimers

    This hobby is something--
I just have to share our latest experience.-- I expect that most of all of you have been there. When replacing a gas guage I find that I am upside down on my back with my head under the steering wheel and my feet in the air ( an uncompromising position that the local *****s would not want to advertise.) In order to overcome the pain from the seat rails ( of course we nave removed the seats) we have placed a pillow over the rails this making it almost impossable to get a 72 year old belly under the wheel. There are two boxes set on the decklid to block the sun which was making seeing impossible. There is also the improbable disapearance of the roll of tape that was just cleaned and set on the bench . After searching for 30 mins for the tape it was discovered stuck to the elbow of the helper. It then fell off the elbow and rolled under the vette next to it ,and which retrival efforts caused a strained back . The smoke then began pouring out from under the dash due to the ???(-- maybe short circuit) What a hoot it can't get no better than this.

We have to be careful not to start any fires that can move faster than we do...a vision of Tim Conway doing the "geezer shuffle" with flames licking at his backside comes to mind.
