That's the light for the radio and heater/fan control bezels in the center console below the clock. There should be a greenish-coloured hood for the bulb that fits in the bullet shaped clip. The light is diffused through the polished plastic edges of the chrome-plated plastic bezels for the controls.

When you re-install the "torpedo lamp", make sure the upturned end of its retaining clip touches the outside of the clock case; that's where the lamp gets its ground (it won't work unless the clock is installed and connected).- Top
