Hardtop headliner and door panel warp

Wondering if anyone has a fix for the following problem. The hardtop is in overall excellent condition with the exception of the headliner panels. They are warped and pulling away from the fasteners. When I push a panel and snap it onto the fastener it will not stay. same w/the door panels they are pulled away at the bottom edge 3 to 4 inches. Would like to hear from anyone who has solved this problem. Thanks, Dave

Dave read your profile, how is that 385HP with the fast burn heads in your 70 running? Did you use original exhaust manifolds? I have been running a ZZ1 crate engine in my 70 for 12 years and can't drive it enough.

I'm curious about the hardtop situation too. I soaked my headliner panel with water. Tied it over a wood form. Let it dry over a period of several days. STILL couldn't get the bow out of it. It popped right back. Several of the so called "velcro" pop fasterners won't hold mine either.

Both side pieces are fine. Chuck

I have an identical problem on my 75 hardtop. I am considering trying a heat gun to see if it can be persuaded back in shape. Anyone tried this?

I had thought about trying hot glue on mine. Wonder if it will stick to the nylon fastners?

The regular stuff that you get at the craft store probably won't, but I think you can get some stronger grades.

Love it......400+ HP and torque! Running Headman coated headers w/stainless exhaust through factory tips.Guy's always want to check under the hood after being left in the dust! I'm a guy who has always appreciated originality in vett's but this car will bring out the hot rodder in just about anyone!
