Re: Carpet for 63 Roadster
re carpet for roadster jack humphrey i have no fault with al knoch or any of the other quality corvette interior suppliers but reproduction is reproduction all too often i see owners replacing perfectly good carpet simply because it's faded faded can be restored you can use dye and vinyl spray paint to get fresh color into the fabric this costs little and you preserve the factory original now if your carpet is torn worn missing or there's already a repro rug in there that's another issue so my advice is to consider the ncrs motto restoration and preservation and think about the second word before you jump and discard by replacement what might be historically significant parts- Top

Re: Carpet for 63 Roadster
re carpet for roadster larry thanks jack i agree with your statement if it was the original set but the carpet in there presently was replaced before back in but with a set that did not have the cut out for the rear floor pan in back of the seats as shown in noland adams the complete corvette rest tech guide vol the car is an early and i was looking for a set of carpet that matched as close to original as possible larry- Top
