I'm now just too curious and would like to find one of the last owners of my vette. It was sold to a gentleman by the name of William M. Brown in Taylers , South Carolina. My attempts in the past couple years have come up dry, partially due to me being in Indiana, the phone calls were expensive. But today I've become very curious to find him due to him possibly having most of the paperwork from my 71 LT-1 and I would like to know if anyone from that area might know him or of him. If anyone can help please let me know. Thank you for your help and "Save the wave"

Tips for finding lost souls
I've become quite a sleuth the last few months tracking down a previous owner. Thanks to the Internet, there are numerous resources available. Some are free and some are not. The first place to start is "bigyellow.com" as it is a compilation of all telephone numbers in the US. It helps to know the state. This site also has an email search function so that will serve all public domains looking for an email address registered to that name. It also has a business search which is helpful running down dealerships. This is a free site.
The second one I've used isn't free but isn't expensive. The nice thing about this site is the first search is free and then you can see if you want to pay for more in-depth info, usually about $5. The site is "knowx.com" and it is quite good. It also has divorce and marriage records for certain states which was very helpful for me trying to find the female who purchased my '64 new.
I'm sure there are other sites but these I've used with decent luck. (And no this isn't a paid commercial endorsement nor do I have any affiliation with these sites.) Good Luck, David- Top

Re: Tips for finding lost souls
Thanks David, I've used all the phone and location sources that I have found but with the mans semi common name it has left me with a lot of Mr. Willliam Browns . The sites that cost I have not used that is why I was hoping to find a local with a little help to find him since my wife can't warrant me using money to find a previous owner. My resources are tight and this is a curiousity not a must. Thank You again and I may try that as a last option.- Top
