tri-power vacuum lines

the secondaries on the 69 tri-power end carbs have a vac line coming from the primary carb, i am under the impression these lines should have a white stripe? and the vacuum advance line also should have a white stripe? are clips used at the nipples on these lines?

Yours truly was the first source of this item in the Corvette aftermarket. It even generated a debate about the width of the White stripe. Although not referenced in the AIM. I did find a reference to it in one official GM publication. I'm guessing, but it was about 15 years ago when I first saw it on a 5K mile 1963. Then on a friends 1962. It even found it on a 1970 I bought part of lasr week. Now its so common, probably Home Depot carries it.

Thanks for the response, is the white stripe vac line used for wipers and such the same or is the white stripe / aligator print under the dash for wiper over-ride the correct pattern.

Patterns come from very thin application of material (ink, paint) on the hose. At the other extreme are runs from too much.
