    FIBER GLASS REPAIR on 67 vette

    Does any one know of someone who does good fiber glass repair in so. California. I have a repro GM hood that does not match the fender in the middle. I call push the edge down but no way to keep it down. May have to build up the fender edge ??I live in the simi valley/1000 oaks area in So. Calif.. Thanks, Don

      glassman@glassmandan.com he is my brother-inlaw and has done 100's of Corvettes.

          Actually, Don, the fender is not built up to fix this problem.

          If midyears are like sharks, the inner fender bond has to be separated from the fender or top surround, and the fender raised to proper alignment and rebonded. Odds are high that the body/hood fit has been like that from the day it was born...aren't real, original Corvettes fun?
