Duke....dowels for WP and engine mount?

This question is for Duke Williams or anyone else who has drilled dowel holes in their engine plate (C1) and block to prevent the engine torque from shearing the water pump gaskets and creating a leak. I need to know approximately where you drilled your holes and what size works? I saw a post on this in a forum not too long ago, but I don't believe there were specifics given.

Maybe I missed the post you are referring too, but I don't recall any drilling involved. You put studs in place of the bolts. Then you can place the gasket motor plate, gasket & pump over the studs without having to line up the 4 layers with the holes in the block.

I understand the issue, but can't give you any advice being as how I have no C1 experience. My SWC has the side mounts.
