    65 & 68 front spindle mount bolts

My brothers says his 65 uses a different size bolts. I said they are the same as 68. What size are they and are they the same? Not the ball joint ends.

    Steve-----

I'm not sure exactly what bolts that you're referring to here. However, I suspect that you're talking about the bolts which attach the front steering knuckle to the steering arms. These bolts are different for 1965 as opposed to 1968.

For 1963 through 1967 these bolts were 7/16"-20. For 1968-82 the bolts were 1/2"-20. 1968 did use a unique-to-1968 steering knuckle, though. This was a "transition" piece. It used the small spindle size like 63-67, but it used the larger steering knuckle-to-steering arm bolts like 69-82.
