    C-3 1968 Heater Motor

I pulled out what sure looks like the original heater motor out of my August 5, 68 built Coupe. The documentation on the flange says "Delco Products Rochester NY USA" It shows part number 5044719 with a date of 6-68. This is different from what the technical manual shows. Manual shows part number 5044720 (one digit off) and says it should say "Delco Remy Dayton Ohio USA" Does anyone know if its possible I still have an original motor and there were some changes. Its a late production 68 model. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I have an original july built 68. Can you see this with the motor installed? If so, I will look at it when I get to where it is stored. Should be able to do it within a couple of days, assuming it can be seen.

It's tough to see as I had to remove the hex headed screws and just pulled the motor out. It was also dirty and I couldn't see the stampings until I cleaned it off. It's usually on the flange on the side between the motor and the passenger outer fender, so you have to get a light and mirror back there. I just found it easlier to pull the motor out. Took 5 minutes. I saw a motor on ebay for sale tha had the same name, but I couldn't read the part number. Appreciate any help.

My 68 is in such a place in the airplane hangar that I can't get at it to see. Maybe this weekend when we take some stuff out I can get to it. Sorry, but I'll give it a try.
