Is there a TRIMMER screw on a Wonderbar radio ? I just read all the posts about Bobs 63. I will be getting my car out of the shop today. After detailing every nut,screw,grommet & finally all the decals. I decided to leave the radio alone. I don't think anything is seriously wrong with my radio & it gets my favorite stations, I only listen to two, news & oldies. The bar moves & stops as the manual states. I live in the Phoenix area & I think I should get more stations. I will have my mechanic look at the connection in the trunk. But the volume control makes a bit of static after I get my station tuned in. Does it sound serious enough to send it out for repair ? Is it something a local repair place can handle ? If not, who do you recommend for Wonderbar rebuilds ? Thanks for all your advice in the past, my car is coming out great.

Can't help you much as for number of stations in your area, but if you decide to have someone look at yout radio I'd suggest

Deb, it depends upon which mountain you live behind in the valley! I'm in the north valley and get 4 or 5 stations on my '54 unrestored radio. There is an antenna trim screw, I beleive its on the right side of the radio. Check out ST-12 Section 13. If you mean, you hear static when you adjust the volume, the pot switch is dirty. If your lucky just moving it back and forth (alot) may help. If not, there are cleaner to spray on it but I think you need to pull the radio to get to it.
