I'm trying to locate the part number for the 1/2" or 5/8" hose that runs from the evaporator box to the rear of the blower motor. If I could locate the GM part number, perhaps I could find some place that reproduces it. I had no luck with my AM.

Pt # 3015608 Do not know if it is still available, but I believe it was used on all car lines from 68-72. I would suspect that later tubes would also work but am not sure.Dick Whittington -

GM #3015608 is the correct part number. These tubes were used for cars with A/C as a cooling aid for the blower motor. Unfortunately, GM #3015608 was discontinued without supercession in September, 1986.
I don't know if later (or, earlier) tubes will work, or not. However, it's moot since ALL of these tubes for 64-82 Corvette models are long-since discontinued. As far as I know, they are not currently reproduced.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment

"Ben" definitely works up there in Napa. I have some familiarity with the place as I've been up there once (a long time ago). In fact, I actually got a pretty good deal on an NOS 1969 steering wheel there once-upon-a-time. But, what I had to go through to actually get that wheel was a REAL ordeal. I think that "Ben" figured that he had quoted me too low of a price since I didn't try to "haggle" with him over it (I NEVER "haggle" over price. If it's a fair price, I buy it without "haggling", even if I could "haggle" and get it for less; if it's too high, I pass unless I'm DESPERATE for the part. RARELY EVER happens with me. In this case, I already owned 2 NOS examples of the steering wheel, so I didn't really NEED theirs [NONE are for sale, now, though]). In any event, "Ben" tried to "back out" of the sale after he had given me his price ($400 and this was about 7 or 8 years ago) and I had agreed to it. I pressed him on it, though, and he finally came through. It took me 2 trips up to Napa (about 75 miles from here) and a BUNCH of phone calls to do it, though.
Several years later I called them about an NOS upper hood latch plate for a 68-E69. I didn't identify myself when I called so he didn't know it was the same guy that had bought the steering wheel years previously. His price for the plate? $600 and that was his "wholesale" price as he thought that I was a dealer. Since the plates on my car are perfect and I have several other NOS spares [none for sale], I wasn't "desperate" enough to pay that kind of price.
If you ever find yourself in Napa, CA stop in and see "Ben". This is a REAL, REAL strange place IN EVERY WAY. In fact, if I recall correctly, the guy's name is Craig COENEN or COEN (or, something very similar to that). I hope he's not related to you. I'm pretty sure that his last name is very similar, if not the same, as yours. It just occurred to me as I was putting the last post together; I had never even thought about it before. When I was up there on the "premises" so long ago, I recall seeing it on something that was hanging on the wall. I remember thinking that I had always assumed that the name of the place was based on the owner's last name but, instead, it was the owner's first name.
This guy would NEVER pass as your brother, though. However, he is a bit eccentric and cantankerous. Believe it or not, in that regard he could put you to shame (now, that's something that a lot of folks might not think would be possible, but it's true). In fact, if folks would just go up and do business there, they'd appreciate what a kind, sensitive, warm, generous, empathetic, philanthropic, and tender-hearted sort of guy you are.
As it turns out, as shocking as it may be, I don't have any of those tubes in the collection. I've always sort of "shunned" group 9 parts (from 9.169 to 9.282). That's because I was never an A/C guy, never ordered it when I ordered my 69, and never really wanted to collect any of those parts. I like A/C now, though, but it's too late for my 69. I do have A/C parts in the collection for my 92, however. Like I say, I like A/C now.

By the way, just so no one gets the wrong idea, just because I changed my mind about C-60 over the years, don't think that the same thing's going to happen relative to my feelings about side exhaust, tri-power, and 68-69 L-88/ZL-1 hoods.
