My '65 has what I think is its original bottle, with the "EVAP" AND "COND" markings, same size fittings in/out; no taper on upper 1/4 of bottle. I understand that these were the same from '63 thru early ? model year '68.
But I have another very similar unit, given to me by a friend, with 2 differences that I can see: Above the "COND" stamping is a letter "G", in smaller font. Second, there is a square boss opposite the right side of the sight glass (holding can so that lettering is upright), rather than a cylindrical extension of the casting that holds the sight glass. Sorry I can't explain this better, but check the eBay link below for detailed pics of what is on my '65 -- not the square boss that I'm questioning, at the intersect of the square horizontal in/out manifold and the cylindrical sight glass.
Anyone seen these square boss driers ?
