1970 454 oil pan

Confusion on the correct oil pan for the 1970 LS-5 Corvette. Where is the oil pan drain plug configured? I have a so-called correct Corvette 454 oil pan that has the plug on the very bottom centered toward the rear edge. I've seen them like that and with the plug located just above the rear edge and centered.

All 1965-74 Corvette big block oil pans have the drain on the radius of the lower rear of the pan (bend between the rear and bottom surfaces of the pan). The drain is well to the left of center and could never be mistaken as "centered".

Thanks, Joe. Rats! I guess I have a non-descript big block oil pan I can sell at a swap meet.

also that pan will have a trap door in the sump the pan was still available from GM
