I have a 1969 350/350. The assemble day is V011HW and a cast date of A 8 9. The block casting number is 3956618. I would like to know if anyone knows the correct dated water pump for this block. The cast number for the water pump is 3782608, what is the correct date for my engine?

Casting date emboss for the '608 pump housings made in Saginaw/Flint is believed to have started in late '65. NCRS judging standards for dated parts are, generally, 0-6 months prior to.
In this case, the 'prior to' is prior to the engine assy date on your engine's stamp pad. BUT, early Shark cars are governed by 'enlightened' judging standards where judges are prohibited from attempting to verify the cast number/cast date of a given water pump (judges simply go by the visible silhouette of the water pump's housing).
