    C1 parts/casting number ID question ?

Does anyone know how to identify correct Delco Moraine wheel cylinders (front & rear) for 1962 C1 ?

Also still trying to verify correct finishes for brake internal hardware as follows:

PARKING BRAKE LEVER KIT: This is pictured in CCentral catalog-gold colored, I can't tell from the picture if it's plated or painted. Mine were gold painted but I don't know if this was an original finish or not. My car was unrestored but had brake repair work done (Midas). I suppose it's possible but why would a repair tech take extra time to "paint" the lever? On the other hand if gold paint is the correct finish it doesn't seem like a logical factory finish choice.

BRAKE SHOE RETAINER: I believe these are zinc plated followed with gold colored dichromate finish

ANCHOR PIN: I believe these are either zinc or cadmium plated silver

BRAKE ADJUSTOR: I believe these are also zinc or cadmium plated silver

I know this is nit picking non judged stuff but I want to get it right.

With regards to the original Wheel Cylinders, Roy posted a photo recently that showed the last three digits to be large. Roy Braatz posted the picture on March 6th.

Wheel cylinder parts/casting number ID question ?

I have a chance to buy a set of rebuildable used Delco wheel cylinders off a '61 with these part numbers: Fronts 5459528, 5459527 ( these are 1 3/16").
5450649 for both rears, (these are 1") but the valve port is left and right on the back. The last three digits of the part number are enlarged on all of the cylinders. All of them have Delco Morrine, Dayton O USA stamped on the
backside. Can anyone verify these as also being correct for my car, a 1962 ?

Roy, thanks for the info and pic. Are you saying the parking brake lever was factory cadmium plated with the gold dichromate finish? What about the adjustor and anchor pin? Silver cad or zinc?

Parking brake shaft , adjuster and pin were all cad, only the housing was black.
Are you showing your vett with the brake drums off??

Claire - According to a Spring 91 Restorer article, by Mike Ernst, yes those casting numbers are good for 60-62. Regards...Dick
