Does anyone know of, or have seat ajusters for a 1979 Corvette? I need like new or close to it for both driver and passenger seats. Maybe someone out there knows how to rebuild/restore what I have. Please let me know.....Tanks

Unless they are totally eaten up with rust, and most are not, they can easily be restored.
Restoration is not too complicated: solvent wash thoroughly to remove all old grease and dirt, mask to protect inner workings as much as possible, then bead blast to white metal to remove all rust. Solvent clean thoroughly again to remove glass bead media, and refinish the black portion of the rails with a flat black or simulated black phosphate finish.
If you prefer new repros over restored originals, which I do not, try Al Knoch...I was in his shop recently and he had new looking seat adjuster rails laying all over. I don't know if those were for his own use, or he has them for sale. -

The only reason I am looking for replacements, is that the rails no longer hold in a forward position. My thought is they will need material build-up. Thanks for the info, I will call Al....Comment
