    Duke,

    The 069 distributor has what looks like its' original I.D. band, with red dye still on it, dated 6K17.

      I really can't make any sense out of this. You started out with a "recurved" 069 dist and then installed the original 156, and it pinged, and then you recurved "this one". I don't know which is which or what is what.

      Without understanding the specific maps that each of these distributors in their current state provides, there's nothing I can say.

      An electronic ignition will not provide any better performance than a properly functioning distributor with points.

        Duke,

        I was just letting you know the date on the ...069 that I removed from the car. As I posted previously, I put the weights, springs and vacuum advance from the 069 into the original ...156 and the car runs great. Didn't mean to confuse you...
