I was watching SG-1 last night. The team travelled back into time 30 years, back to august, 1969. As they approached a Colorado road, a car flashed by, looking very much like a 68-69 corvette. Colonel O'Neal commented "they never should have changed the body style...", probably referring to the body style change from 1967 to 1968.

Re: corvettes on the small screen
Did he say it in disgust or lusting after the Vette? As you may guess, I am a C3 owner and implying that maybe he was talking about the change from C3 to C4. Being one who lusts after the '69s (no I don't have one), I can't imaging them portraying the '68/69 as a negative thing, but that's one man's perspective. ;-) I like all C-1 thru C3s very well, but I never figured out why they changed the "style" of the C4 Vette so drastically from a C3 that was unlike anything else to something that doesn't look terribly different from some other cars out there. Of course, I could say the same thing about the C6. Don't get me wrong, those are wonderful cars and technically far superior to my '81, but I'm disappointed Chevy no longer believes in producing a Vette with nothing-else-like-it styling.- Top
