Does anyone know of a good source for a C-2 Aftermarket AC kit, or shop that installs?

Re: C2 Aftermarket AC
I am relying on old brain cells here but I seem to remember that the Driveline had ads for this. Something along the lines of Vintage Air out of San Antonio? Again, fuzzy on the details but weren't they two brothers working together?
IIRC, I saw them at Carlisle and their product was new components all professionally designed and installed in a mid-year. The only downside to what I saw was that you had an old engine compartment with new components that did not seem periord correct. A small price to pay for someone wanting a/c.

I love my Vintage Air system on a 67
Try http://www.vintageair.com
Not like original but uses your same heater controls for both heat and A/C.
Fairly easy to install, and you replace your present heater box. I put it on myself although took it to a shop to get it leak tested and charged with R-134a. You'll need to change or add onto your crank and water pump pulleys, it uses the second position forward.

Re: C2 Aftermarket AC
About a year ago I talked with a Corvette rebuilder who preferred the kit from a company called "Old Air." He said he had also used the Vintage Air kit but preferred the Old Air kit.
I do not have any independent info on this, but you may want to speak with both vendors. Chances are a google search will turn up both.
I believe there is also a third vendor that offers a lit for midyears, but I can't recall the name.- Top
