C3 Hardtop Question

Do all of the C07 Auxiliary Hardtops have the two stainless steel tips on the rear points or just the ones with the vinyl covering?

Early 1968 tops had no protectors. Sometime in December they were added. I believe that there is a TSB that references this and details how to install them on the earlier tops.

I'm looking at a hardtop on ebay item 4535332579, that is supposed to be original '73 and it does not appear to have the tips. Maybe repainted and not replaced.

James, my painted hardtop has the tips on it. They're to protect the rear edges of the hardtop. In many photos I see these hardtops propped up with those edges on the surface. Every once in a while I see the tips posted on eBay.

I have the hardtop for my original owner 68 and it has the vinyl covered top and it does not have the chrome tips. I bought my car late in '68 (August)
