C1 - Seat Adjusters

I know this question has been addressed before but I cannot find it in the archieves. So I'll ask it again. On a 59, when you install the carpeting do you install the horizontal seat adjusters on top of the carpet? Or do you install the adjusters onto the fiberglass floorboards and cut the carpet to go around the adjusters?

Tracks mount directly to the floor, and carpet flap is cuto cover the bolt heads.

Brad JM says bottom rails are mounted under carpet so mounting hardare is not visable above the carpet. Tom
