what is the proper setting of the timing on my 1960 c1 283cu ? 8 degrees BDC ?? or less i use octane 98 unleaded fuel

Sander -

The ST-12 doesn't show recommended initial timing settings for any C1's, but it's shown in your owner's manual (I don't have one).

1960 motors shows 4 degree btdc on a '60, in those days they aqlso allowed about a +/- 2degree "adjustment" factor.

will check the owners manual too thank you all for the response this will help me out i think . will set it on 4 degree BTDC and look how it runs
