    C2:67 The Wife is Away

So the Weekend Mechanic will play.

This is a sequel to Main Body Stew:

Here's the 3810 Main Body after boiling, stripping, buffing, replating, dipping, then restripping with acid(1st try didm't come out right), rebuffing. Thought I'd try this, while I had the opportunity, to get the final crude off the bare potmetal. Using the Potscrubber cycle. Tomorrow the replating and coloring of the main body.

Lost last weekend's schedule due to a surprise 6-Oh party. Darn it!

Nice photo - My wife enjoyed it. (She won't tell.)

Make sure the bottom surface on that dude is FLAT.

Will do; also will be tapping the two untapped holes in the main body for the two extra throttle plate bolts. I guess that's another way you can tell a original (751) from a replacement. But don't tell the judges.

one time i used one of mrs clem pans to boil the gas out of a brass float so i could resolder it. i never did that again because no mater what i used i could not get the gasoline smell out of the pan.

I washed a nasty bell housing in my dishwasher. Never did tell my wife, although my wrench turning buddy did. I cleaned the majority of the stuff off, threw it in the dishwasher and ran the heavy duty cycle twice to wash and then once more empty to clean it out. Works great.

You could have at least unloaded the dang thing first! Seriously though, I'm wondering if a trailing arm would fit in there.

                Just Might Fit
