    C2:67 Holley Body Plating

Well, after I retreived the 3810 main body from the dishwasher last night, today I figured I'd plate a fresh coat of zinc on it. First, I brushed it with muriatic acid (cut 2 to 1) to a nice even raw metal finish.

Then I cooked it in SP degreaser. Then into the plating tank. I plated it for about an hour and a half, 15 minutes per side, at 1.25 volts across the tank.
Here it is just out of the tank:

Next step is to buff it out, cook it again and dip it in the yellow chromate.
Maybe next weekend, I ran out of time again.
