    STEERING COMPONENTS TORQUE SPECS

    Anyone have the torque specs for tie rod end nuts and idler arm nut? Can't find it either the assembly or chassis service manual...

    The idler arm-to-relay rod nut is torqued to 50 lb/ft + additional torque necessary to align the castle nut with the hole for the cotter pin (not to exceed 60 lb/ft).

    The tie rod end stud nuts are torqued to 35 lb/ft + the additional torque necessary to align the castle nut with the hole for the cotter pin (not to exceed 50 lb/ft).
