    C3 Spindels

Ok I know the controversy, but I have my trailing arms re assembled and checking
my end play I am .001 on both sides and everything looks good but I want to make
sure they are correct. I used one shim on each side .115 & .109 Am I only suppose to use one shim? If I go larger .121 then I have way to much end play.
Is one shim the standard and how free should the spindle spin? I have good drag
but it does not spin free. I installed new bearings races and new spindles. If I press my bearings back off and start back one again without torqing them I still do not turn free their is still good drag.

    Does this sound correct?

One shim and one collar. There is always drag because of grease and the seal, especially if the seal is new.

Yes, it sounds good and like a typical rebuilt with close tolerances. Some of the commerical trailing arm builders hold it to 0.0005. Your new bearing should break in just fine and with synthetic or semi-synthetic grease it should last for a lifetime.

What are you physically doing to that trailing arm to come up with that tolerance, how are you measuring the bearing.
