Y'all can file this one under impossible requests, given the vagaries of trying to infer colors on a digital pic on an uncalibrated monitor on the internet, but here goes:
I sent a set of buckles and tongues to Ssnake Oyl for restoration and rewebbing, and received a quote that includes 3 samples of red webbing, #1 - #3, left to right in the pic below. Having never seen original red seatbelt webbing, does anyone have any sense of which sample is closest to 'right'? My bias would be #3, as #1 seems too orange, and #2 has too much magenta in it. What do people think? Thanks for entertaining what is at best an educated guess, since my guess is the least educated one here.
