Re: Aftermarket Aluminum Heads
I'm currently using the Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads (straight plug, 70cc chambers) in my '75 coupe. I love 'em. They're 21 pounds (a piece) lighter than my stock iron heads, and the old girl is a lot stronger now than she's ever been.

Any of the aftermarket heads that you mentioned would be great choices. However, if it were me, I wouldn't be using any of them. I'd go with the new GM "fast burn" aluminum cylinder heads. These heads will perform AT LEAST as good as any of those mentioned and are the same ones used on the ZZ-430 crate engine. You do have to use a specific intake manifold with them which is also available from GM, but it's worth getting, too. The part number for the heads is GM #12464298 and they sell for about $1,100 per set COMPLETE.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Hi Joe - I'm currently rebuilding my 63 engine and have done exhaustive research into this subject. I've used the Dyno 2000 software program to test the various options, and Air Flow Research is the best.- Top
