    I am a new member!

I've owned Corvettes for just a few short years and I've owned only three and been around several. Love 'em. After I began work on my current project and discovered the NCRS Technical Discussion Board I only considered becoming a member. All of you specifically answered my questions and a few of you even interjected humor (Joe). I read with interest how knowledgable and accurate the answers were and of conversations about events I knew nothing about and different levels of NCRS judging I knew nothing about. So I joined. Plus I noticed that most all of you had member numbers and I began to feel like I was cheating.

Welcome aboard Scott. We are glad that we have been of help. Restoration and Preservation is what NCRS is about. But the best part is the camaraderie and friendships that we make along the way. Hope that you come to some of the events, whether it be a local chapter or a Regional or a National.

Scott, I'd like to join Dick in welcoming you to NCRS. You may want to consider joining a Chapter in your area. Membership offers many advantages such as Judging Schools, Tech Sessions and even social events. If you are unsure about the location of a chapter in your area you can check the NCRS website under "contacts" or contact me and I'll help you out. Good luck.

            Re: Welcome Scott

I have to mirror Dick's sentiment in that you can't ask for a better Corvette group to get hooked up with Scott.

They even make this knuckle dragger feel right at home and un-intimidated (obviously huh?).

            Regards,

            Chuck

              Scott,

Glad you made the decision to join. This forum is absoulutely invaluable, beyond ANY manual, publication, could ever bring. We have a wealth of knowledge available to us here form guys and gals that really know what they are doing and and completely unselfish about sharing all their vast knowledge.

I have been restoring a 67 L79 coupe for a couple years now and restored a 66 convertible back in 76-79. I surely wish I would have this resource back then. I could have finished it in half the time.

The cost to join would be a bargin at 10x the cost in my opinion. Hell, you can send a message any time of day or night on any subject, part number lookup, tech tip, how to etc. In my line of business, Mechanical Engineering Consulting for Aerospace, Aeronautical applications, we get paid huge dollars by our Customers for our services. This in not unlike the value I have received from this group. So, all the lurkers out there should consider joining to support NCRS to continue to fund this forum.
