This product was suggested to me by a professional painter because it is water soluble, and now it's all he ever uses on Corvettes. He told me that Captain Lee's stripper was a product that could "come back and bite you" later. Is there anyone else out there who has used this NAPA product? I'll probably go with it on my '68 convertible. It costs $37.00 a gallon.

Russ did the professional painter mention any specific problems when he told you Captain Lee's stripper would "come back and bite you"? I used Captain Lee's stripper on my 68 when I stripped and painted it in 1984. I also used it later when I stripped/painted my 70 in 1989. I have never used the NAPA product but I am sure it is a quality product or NAPA would not sell it.- Top
