1982 Wheel Center Cap Emblem "Coloration"

Does anyone know what the proper "background color tint" is supposed to be on the hubcap center emblems for '82s? Is it supposed to be more of a "silverish" tint, or more toward a "goldish" tint? I have seen both, both on original center caps as well as reproduction pieces. Exactly how did they come from the factory? Were they originally silver, and age sends them more toward the goldish coloration? In any case, what should they look like for judging purposes? I don't believe this issue is covered in the '80-'82 Judging Manual.

Are you referring to the standard N90's or the special collector edition rims?

The N90's used a chrome cap while the CEs are finished with silver beige.
