C1 Powerglide Relay

I saw some bids for the #904 relay on e-bay up to $400.00 and again thought I would pass on info that using a car over drive relay works the same and looks the same.
On the original the number cant be seen any way , the car terminal (one) is pointed wrong but for about $40.00 you have it, or have as a spare for emergency use.
You could probably work on it to move the terminal to look original.
But all in all here it is.

i have some 904's and on some, the # is stamped on the exposed face, making it a judgable item. mike

If it on the firewall near the trans dipstick, mine has 904 on the silver bracket inbetween the 2 philps head screws below the black Delco Remy made in USA cover. I am not a mechanic but I hope this helps.

deb: your relay is an example of the 904 # being exposed. some are exposed, others not. mike

Many Fork lifts ( carpet and what ever) used a relay looking just like a Corvette and was sold to Corvette owners years ago. But on the back side a piece of metal strap was soldered to two terminals to make it work for the Corvette. A Four speed back up light switch was also sold to owners of PG as a replacement safety neutral switch which you can still use if missing the original.
