Is Stan listening, or does anyone know his current email address ? Want to give him info on mid-June'69 "842" aluminum heads with NO core plugs.

Hi Stan --- Sign of the times, eh ? I'd rather communicate by email than use the address in your RESTORER article (Fall '98). Anyway, like I was saying, the local Corvette shop is building a L78 and the owner located these heads stateside (they may be the set that was advertised out of Idaho in the DRIVELINE a few months ago). I noticed they had NO casting plugs (as your article discusses) and that the casting date and the other #'s are large (about same font as the GM part #) and thin. One of the heads is dated either 17th June or July of 1969; the other is about 10 days earlier. If you need to know any other info, I can check them out before they're installed on the motor.- Top
