Original door striker shim as seen next to this striker are hard to find. Owners that may have trouble with their door locking or not hitting the striker right or have the door open or not close right may be needing the striker moved out more , look for these or make them. These are made to eat in to the fiberglass so as not to move.53 to 55 have shims also that do the same thing. The striker as seen is original with the floating bottom section that takes the shock of the door closing , were a replacement later design don't have that design.

Re: C1 56 to 62 door stricker shims
Roy,
I am not sure when the switch was made, but I believe that they are incorrect for a 60 as well. My 60 which had appeared to never have been apart, also used the open shims with the two anti-skid plates at each latch as well.- Top

where's the rubber bumper if its a c-1 striker? the pass cars of the 50's, although very similar, lacked the bumper(which can be installed on the pass car critter by drilling and tapping the pass car striker). mike- Top
