    C1 Won derbar Radio lights

    Hi all,

While preparing for the judging session in September I noticed today my Wonderbar radio light(s) are not working anymore. My question is where are these fitted and how do I swap these for working ones (do I need to get the complete radio out or can this be done simpler?)

    greetings,
    Rob.

Rob, on top of the radio right in the center front is the dial lamp. The socket has fingers on it that hold it in the hole. Just pop it out by pushing over and up on one side. Your 59 calls for an #1891 lamp.

      Bob.

Recall the radio dial light is wired in with the dash lights. Be sure to turn dash lights on first prior to checking the dial light. Regards,

Also, You almost need a blanket to check the light if it is daytime. It is always so funny seeing judges huddled under a couple of towels trying to see if the light is working! I would take a dark blanket to judgings if the event was outdoors(and ops check usually are), the sun goes right through a white towel!

          Hi all,

I've got the light working again. The isolation of the wire to the light was damaged and therefor shorting. Luckily it didn't damage any other wiring ;-)

Only another 20 items to resolve before flight judging (e.g. clock, correct bolts and nuts, pitted chrome, missing dimmer switch bezel, etc. etc.)...

Thanks all for your help (again),
          Rob.
