Gents,

How does one tell a '68 from a '69 besides looking at the vin?

68/69 judging guide is available from the store on this site. 68 had no "stingray" emblem. Seats are different. Center console is different. No seat belt pockets on 69. 68 small block was a 327. 69 SB was 350. Door handles on the outside are different. Back up lights are different. It goes on and on. Best thing to do is get the book.

As Rich said, it goes on and on. I'll mention a few. The ignition switch is on the dash for 68, its on the steering column on a 69. Wheels on a 68 are 7 inch, 69 had 8 inch. 69 has headlamp washers, 68 doesn't. Seat belts are different. Interior light for 68 is on the the right and left B piller about the height of the drivers head, on 69 it is in the back of the compartment. Still are many more.

Radiator core support is unique to '68, and the front spindles are smaller in diameter than 69 - 82.
