    Brakes/ 65

I was out crusing in Palm Springs last night and my brakes started to "knock" when applied. It was most noticable when first applied and not braking hard.
Not a loud knock but you can hear it and feel it when you apply the brakes. Before I figured out it only happened when braking I thought maybe a u joint was making noise.
    Any suggestions?

First check that you don't have a loose wheel, ESPECIALLY if the car is knock-off equipped!

I had a similar issue on my 64. One of 2 things in my case... The front suspension bushings were worn, so when I initially applied the brake, the A-arms would actually move. Almost the same indications (knock) on the rear brakes as the TA bushings were shot too.

I'll assume you have a disc brake car, so it could also be a loose caliper or it's mount.
