C2 67 Seat Tracks

The judging manual says the tracks are plated dark gray. Mine are plated that way, but the end brackets where they attach to the floor as well as the shaft for the release handle, have been painted black. This seems to be correct in that if these points were not painted black they would show the "funky" gray.

Am I correct in this assumption???

Your Right FUNKY grey. NOT BLACK ... I have an original not touched set of 67 seats (sad) in my 65 .... for the last thirty years. The entire 65 enterior was taken out at 45,000 miles and replaced with a 67 that has 30,000 original miles (today). After these years the grey has turned light (funky) grey......... Ed

Are the floor mounting tabs and the release handle painted black????

The metal tabs connected to the floor are not black. I'm not sure what you mean about the release handle . Are you talking about the buckle which is chrome.... except for the center of the " bow tie(chrome) " centered in black.

Disregard ... the last! All grey.
I've been working on seat belts tonite! ... I have that on the brain. ha! ha !
