    1966 trip odometer dash attachment

hello, and thanks to all for the excellent help so far. My 1966 trip odometer cable is functional, and I have an attachment nut and the knob. My problem is how is the trip odometer cable, nut and knob are attached to the dash. I don't see any hole for it and no bracket. Any ideas? Thanks!

Rich, if your 66 is like my 63, it's not actually attached to the dash. It's attached to the bottom bracket that holds the steering column. If you send me your email address I'll send you a photo. Check your 66 AIM.

      Rich and Harry

Accoding to my Long Island Corvette catalog section 18 depends on wether your 66 is tele or not but both use a bracket/strap that mounts under the column. 63 uses a different strap than 66 for non tele but essentially the same method. If yours is telescoping column I can send a photo of what it looks like.
