I've got an early '63 340hp. Just curious if anyone knows off the top of your head if the marking is an 'A' w/circle around it or a 'F-C'? Thanks

The "A" within a circle was ONE of the headmarkings used for the drain plug on C2 Corvettes regadless of installed pan. I'm not usre about the "F-C".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Can't speak about F-C...
but I've removed 'L' and 'TR' marked pan plugs from original Chevy in addition to the Circle-A which seems to be the most common. I suspect there were multiple vendors qualified to serve this application with the use of secondary suppliers a function of 'when built,' who had the best price at the time, freight-in cost, and availability. I wouldn't rule out the F-C fastener as being 'correct' if it has the same general dimensions as the others....- Top
