    67 Front stabilizer bar?

I received a deduct for the bolts on my front stabilizer bar. If you can tell from the photo do they look correct?

Also, while I can't see the headmarking very well, one of the headmarkings that I know was used for this bolt had a series of concentric "circles" on the bolt head. Another headmark was an "anchor" (for Anchor Fastners). My 1969 had the "anchor" headmarking. There may very well have been other headmarkings, too.

          Kevin,

Although the headmarking isn't clear, the shape and size of the bolts appears correct. I'm surprised they didn't allow enough leeway to consider them original. Maybe it was the length of them, as originals are not very long and difficult to install without first using longer ones.

            Kevin,

I just looked at the ones on my '66, which have never been removed and they are "anchor" headmarked also, with what looks like a captive lock washer.

As Rob pointed out... a captive lock washer under the bolt head is correct. No washer at the nut end. Refer to your AIM UPC 3 A5

Thanks guys, and I want to make it clear, It's has not been my intention to put down the judges. I'm learning and before I spend money or time to replace sunshades, reinforcements and bolts I figure I'll run them by the forum. I thought it would be a good idea because the members of the forum have much more experience than I can ever imagine to learn. Right now the cleanliness of the undercarriage is my biggest obstacle. Although I don't want to remove any original finishes I am making an effort to remove as much dirt and grease as possible. Once again I'm eager to share aspects of my car that I know are original that's why I post pictures when something comes up. My car is a humble driver and I was totally pleased with my local chapter meet at the Peterson, it was a great time met lots of great people and I was really surprised to earn a Top Flight for my car. Want to see an original unmounted spare with Saint Louis factory air ?

                  Hi Kevin:

I liked the photo of your spare. Does the back of your spare have one or more factory wheel weights? It is my understanding that the weights used in 1967 were the Micro brand with so-called "bird wing" ends.

Your reference to having St. Louis air inside your spare gives new meaning to having a car that is equipped with "factory air" (aka air conditioning).

                      Here it is

Yep has the weight you mentioned. Backside unpainted ? just the factory dip.

                        Sorry Brian,
Just took these this morning, the other close up's are off framed I'll try again tonight. It's a "rain tire"

Out of curiosity, what is the headmarking on your stabilzer bar bracket bolts?

Secondly, if that spare tire still has St Louis air in it after 38 years, you've got one hell of a tire and rim there. It must be sealed better than an Apollo space capsule.

I'll check on the head markings when I get home. All I know is the last owner and I have never put air into it, maybe it's still hard because it's petrified.

What does the Anchor head marking look like? I can kinda see head marking on the original pic when I blow it up. I'm at work so a picture is all I have right now.
