    1957 Speedometer Cable

    Can some one tell me the correct length for a speedometer cale housing for a 57 with a three speed? I'm having problems with what I believe is the original and want to replace it. The original measures app. 53", Corvette Central says it should be 60". I'd like to be sure before buying it. Thanks Rich # 2276

      what kinda trouble with the one that is currently being used? if its just the innner cable and not the housing, remove the cable and install a new lubricated one in the old cleaned housing. mike

          Thanks Mike, I'll give it a try. I installed a new vinyl housing and cable which cleared up the jumpy intermittent operation and the original cable looks fine so I condemned the steel housing.
