    Glass question.

I would like to replace a piece of glass in my car. Is a May dated glass ok to go into a May 14th build date car? Im sort of going with NO. What you say?

    Thanks, Terry

    Re: Glass question.

if you're going to have to spend a fortune on a repo glass, have them date it a couple months prior to build date. if somebody's giving you a piece of glass dated just two weeks prior to build date, use it as ncrs recognizes a couple days to a year for glass date prior to car's build date.mike

      Hi Terry -

For what it's worth, my August build '63 has a combination of April (vent windows) and May (the rest) date coded glass. So, maybe go a few months back.

        Re: Glass question.

It is a pop out rear window for my 68. I will probably buy it untill I can find another one. In any case I am looking for a clear pop out window dated either LX, GX, XX, NX or earlier. If anyone can help, let me know.

One of my windows is dated in the very first part of production (it appears to be original).

        Thanks, Terry
