    C1 60 Carpet

How is the carpet supposed to fit around the inboard seat belt brackets?
Is it cut away or does it have a hole in it for the bolt? or?
Any other tips on carpet install are welcome.

    Re: C1 60 Carpet

I MADE A HOLE IN MY 58 AND 59 BUT IT IS SO CLOSE THE THE END OF THE CARPET I THINK (CUT AROUND OR HOLE) EITHER WAY WOULD LOOK THE SAME. DOESNOT SHOW WITH THE SEATS IN. I USED DYNAMAT EXTREME UNDER THE CARPET INSTEAD OF THAT FOIL FROM CC. I GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT WINDSHIELDS. CAN I EMAIL YOU ?

I will help you if I can on the windshield. I took mine apart and put it back together about four times. My notes are at:

        Larry, thanks

for posting your windshield notes, very helpful. You didn't do the same for the dashpad did you? Pat G.

          Re: Larry, thanks

The dash pad was very frustrating. I don't know why they can't just make it with out the foam behind the insert and the gauge cluster. It must be cut away for it to fit. Just be patient and don't cut anything until you're sure. Leave the front long enough to fit under the windshield. Make little cuts in it so it will bend around the curves without folding. Be careful around the grab bar. Don't cut material away until you know it will not show. Glue the area that goes under the windshield so it won't pull out later. The rest has enough stuff to hold it down. I used a coat hanger ground with a point to locate holes for the defroster bezels, mirror and holes for speaker from the underside.
I would post a question asking for any other advice available.
          Good luck,
          LP
