The attached picture of the St.Louis Corvette Plant was taken in 1964 at the completion of the expansion.

This is my first attempt at posting a picture..so lets see what happens!

Joe: Your photo will show better if you reduce the pixel dimensions.

I checked your photo above, and it's 2201x1495 pixels. This makes it a bit large for most web pages, or for e-mailing.

It's very common for people to use their first images "straight from the camera". Instead, I recommend you reduce the image size, save it under another name and then post them. The width I would use is 500 to 600 range.

I will take the photo you sent me, post it on one of my sites, and then post it here, to show you what I mean.

In most cases you are correct, in this case I like Joes picture. It is amazing clarity for a 40 year old picture from what? I can see more details in the larger picture.

Larry - I have to agree, since the Corvettes are all over to one end. I assume the orig. was a 35 MM SLR, and it seemed to scan in very well.

So with the picture dated 4/14/64 and my build date of 4/9/64 did my car just roll out of those doors the week before?

Ah, memories - that's where Final Repair, Water Test, and the Visualiner were relocated (water test was VERY busy during the '68 launch)

Scanned the original picture with an HP officejet G85.

The original picture was taken by a professional photographer contracted to take the progress photo's of the 1963/1964 expansion of the St.Louis Plant.
