C-1 Windshield Frame Screw Size Help

I am trying to determine the correct size screw to use on my '61 windshield frame. There are two unfilled holes on each side of the frame on either side of the alignment pin receiver casting. The frame is countersunk for each screw in the stainless trim, but there does not appear to be threads (perhaps these were lost during rechroming). The closest tap size is 12-24 which a nearly extinct screw thread.

Can anyone provide help with the particulars for the correct screws?

    Thank you.
    Mike

    Mike,

Corvette Central as well as other vendors have the complete screw kit for the windshield.

It sounds like your talking about the threaded "riser" on the upper channel.
There is a picture of it on the 1st page of my notes.

I'm not sure of the size but I also got mine from CC.
