I am trying to determine the correct size screw to use on my '61 windshield frame. There are two unfilled holes on each side of the frame on either side of the alignment pin receiver casting. The frame is countersunk for each screw in the stainless trim, but there does not appear to be threads (perhaps these were lost during rechroming). The closest tap size is 12-24 which a nearly extinct screw thread.
Can anyone provide help with the particulars for the correct screws?
